Luckily there hasn’t been anything too exciting over the last week because we’ve spent a lot of time enhancing the information found here on our blog. Most of the new additions are within the condo profiles you’ll find along the left hand side of the page. By clicking on your favorite condo building, you’ll be able to find much more than just a description and active listings. Here is a list of what new information you’ll find:
- Link to project website – If a condo building has a website, you’ll be able to visit that website by clicking on the image representing the project located at the top of the blog entry.
- Directions – The address now links to a map which allows you to type in your address for directions quick and easy directions.
- Instant email notifications – In addition to having the ability to see anything that is currently listed within the MLS, you can now sign up to be notified by email of new listings for a specific building as soon as they hit the market.
- Photo gallery and/or video – Entries now include a photo gallery of a projectss exterior, amenities and/or interior finishes. If a developer/architect has also created a video, we have included that as well.
- Additional reviews and opinions – Call us crazy, but probably our most adventurous addition is towards the bottom of each profile which will link you directly to other competing blogs or industry related websites which have commented on a particular project.
- Events – To the right side of the page you’ll find up-and-coming events in the community that promote our local real estate market.
Here is a list of what each icon represents:
SeattleCondosAndLofts.com – Ben Kakimoto is the founder and author of SCL and is a real estate consultant. He focuses on keeping abreast of the condominium and loft market trends in the Seattle area. He is affiliated with John L. Scott Real Estate in Belltown.
BeNeighbor.com – Founded in July of 2007, BeNeighbor is a social network that connects people with friends and others who live in, or near, the same condominium building. Although the website is still rather a new concept, we believe it to be an excellent source of information from those actually living in a building.
BizJournals.com – A new media division of American City Business Journals, the nation’s largest publisher of metropolitan business newspapers. It operates the Web sites for each of the company’s 42 print business journals.
Emporis.com – A worldwide database on construction data and commercial real estate information. This information universally accessible and is the world’s biggest and best database about buildings.
NwSource.com – A website which archives articles from both the Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Urbnlivn.com -Popular blog by Matt Goyer with Redfin who is one of the few who offers opinionated reviews on condos which many locals love to read.
SeattleCondoReview.com – Wendy Lueng is another competing Realtor who also provides great information and insight regarding downtown area condominiums.
By adding our competitors and other resources to our blog, our goal is to help buyers and sellers to be better informed. We’re hoping that doing so helps us to earn your business and not give it away. Please take a look and let us know what you think.
